Ingredients:

2/3 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 eggs, at room temperature

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled

Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 175°C

In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 8 minutes.

Mix in the vanilla extract.

Gradually fold in the flour mixture, using a spatula until it’s just combined.

Pour the melted butter over the batter, and gently fold it in until just combined. It will take some time to mix in fully so don’t rush

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and refrigerate the batter for at least 30 minutes, maximum 2 hours (or the butter will start to solidify)

Grease a madeleine pan with butter

Fill each indent with about 1 tablespoon of batter, or until it’s about 3/4 full.

Bake the madeleines in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and springy to the touch.

Remove the pan from the oven and let the madeleines cool in the pan for a few minutes.

Dust the madeleines with powdered sugar before serving.

Enjoy your delicious madeleines!
